Green Beans and Eggs
Welcome to my world!
I am 9 months and 2 weeks old. How time flies. I know it's hard to believe but I now weigh about 20 pounds and have 6 teeth -- 3 on top and 3 on the bottom. Daddy says it won't be long before 7th and 8th teeth make their debut. I can wave "hi" and "goodbye". Well, I just flop my arms up and down with a big smile and I look mighty cute.
The biggest change in 9 months, however, is that I am mobile! I roll; I sit up; I pull myself up; I cruise along furniture; I "sumo squat". I crawl -- I have gone from the GI Joe style crawling to hands-one-knee-and-one-foot style for speed. Mommy and Daddy can't keep up with me. I can even stand on my own. And with a little help, I walk.
I also like to pull drawers and cabinets. Mommy and Daddy put these things called latches. But I try every single drawer and cabinet everyday. I am sure there are lots of interesting and fun things in there. I might get lucky one day.
And I love bath time. As soon as I'm undressed, I crawl over to the bathroom in a hurry to make sure Mommy and Daddy properly prepared the bath -- with just the right amount of bath toys in the warm water!
There have been too many adventures so far and I will never finish my post. So let me start with what happened today.
I do not like green beans and eggs.
For dinner, Mommy made me green beans and eggs. I've had eggs (egg yolks to be exact) before and it's OK. I've had green beans before (all pureed) and it's not my favorite. So when Mommy gave me green beans (all cut up), I tasted them. I didn't even make my "eww, what is *this* stuff?!" face. I decided to defer my judgment. Then Mommy gave me some egg yolks. Somehow I just did not like the combination of green beans and eggs. So I let Mommy know -- by spitting them out.
